The best # Architecture

If you are looking for the best hashtags for architecture on Instagram, you have found what you were looking for. Learning to use hashtags means reaching more people and networking with profiles similar to yours.

However, inserting #s in your posts takes time and energy. Also, if you find yourself improvising every time, you risk engaging in something that may not even dare to bear fruit. For example, inserting the hashtag #internididesign in your post, however effective it may seem to you, is very limited as it is not used or searched by other users (274 post contains that hashtag at the time of writing this post).

Therefore, selecting the right #s to receive more likes and more profile visits is essential.

But what are hashtags?

Hashtags are hyperlinks (texts that, when clicked, lead back to a web page) that work as thematic aggregators by grouping all the images or posts containing identical ones.

Hashtags: you can love them or hate them, but if you use social media, don’t ignore them.

They are mainly used on social networks – especially on Instagram – but are often used on other platforms or sites and have the same function as tags for a website or catalogue.

What is the utility of hashtags on Instagram?

On Instagram, as on other social networks, #s are used to connect, share and create communities even among users who do not know and follow each other. Anyone who uses a specific # automatically circulates his image and makes it visible to all those who follow that particular # or do a search on it.

This is useful for discovering new users and content in a more targeted way. Of course, there are also # generalists such as #photooftheday, where there is everything. Still, the meaning is precisely to create communities and connect accounts thanks to sharing common interests.

On a more micro level, however, #s can also be used to provide users with a way to trace a whole series of posts that share a particular #. This time more specifically. They are often used, for example, for events in which participants are invited to share posts by entering the # of the event.

I hope I have given you an idea. Consider that by hashtags nature, they are highly flexible tools that can also be used in different ways. But mainly, they bring people together around a specific topic.

Where to insert hashtags on Instagram?

There are different currents of thought. It also depends on how many # you plan to include in your post and your primary focus.

Suppose you want to reach other people who have your interests and like to browse the sector #s. You want to enter 30 (the maximum allowed) independently of your caption. In that case, I suggest you insert the complete list of #s in the first comment or the same caption as the post but spaced with one or more graphic signs.

If you decide to include them in a comment, they will be associated with your photo, but you will avoid “carrying them around” when you maybe share your media on other social networks or platforms. Furthermore, the caption of your post will be essential and more elegant and clean.

What is the best solution? Is it better to use the Architecture hashtags in the comments or directly in the post?

Some claim that Instagram penalizes the post (in terms of organic reach) if #s are included in the comments. I read a similar statement only once in a specialized text on social media marketing. However, after careful research, I would advise you that it is probably better to insert the hashtags directly in the post because, as Scott Ayres says, after doing a test with two different accounts, the results seem to be better in those posts with the # directly. In the caption. We always talk in terms of interactions (likes, comments)

If your purpose is only to underline some # directly connected to your publication (for example, a series you are carrying out or a conversation to which you want to add your contribution), then it would be more appropriate to insert them inside the caption, naturally and fluidly. This way, users will understand that your post revolves around specific # s that you entered in the first few bars or immediately at the end of your caption.

Another reason you should integrate hashtags directly into the post description is to reinforce the use of a particular # (for example, the one that bears your name) and give it visibility in the hope that others use it or otherwise to make it recognizable.

The best # Architecture hashtags

Therefore, selecting the best Architecture hashtags is a process that can be fundamental if you want to reach people and get likes.

You will read some selected examples that you can immediately use to promote your photographs, but first, I would like to give you some final advice regarding their use.

The best #lists for your architecture photos or videos on Instagram should follow these principles:

  • Be specific – that is, actually tell your publication’s theme. No to general #s like #followforfollow, for example.
  • Choose interesting ones – using # attractive means communicating even in this particular moment. Nothing stops you from being creative and thinking of something immediate and effective others could also reuse that. For example, you could try to start a new conversation on a theme or ask others to use a specific # of your invention and link to your brand.
  • Use short hashtags – too long hashtags generate confusion in the reader and make words indecipherable.
  • Avoid unknown words or acronyms – communication often hinges on simplicity and understanding. If you use unfamiliar words or acronyms that are difficult to decipher, you risk not getting the desired result in terms of networking.
  • Think in English: Instagram is a global community. Although # in Italian is still considerable, a good strategy could be to use # in English to reach a more significant number of people. However, nothing prevents you from making a mix.
  • Avoid # senseless and forced – For the simple fact that they make no sense and are forced.

Our selection of the best # for architecture was composed over years of using Instagram through the accounts I manage (@archiobjects and @objectsmag are the main ones), so it can count on a hefty dose of experience and various skimmings that have followed one another in time.

The logic with which it was composed is that of 10 – 10 – 10. That means taking into account that the maximum number of # inserted in a photo is 30. Many recommend dividing a set of words according to the popularity of the # – to appear among the “popular” of one or more of them.

So ten will be medium-small (in terms of the number of images that have used this #), ten will be medium-sized and the last ten will be selected among the most used # of your reference sector.

Below I list some groups of Architecture hashtags that I have used several times in my publications.

As you will see, they are divided by sector, and I invite you to save this page in your browser favourites because I will always keep it updated – enriching and differentiating it over time.

Apps and tools for architecture hashtags

Perhaps it is much more convenient to have apps available that allow us to go and find a selection of 30 hashtags that can be right for us from time to time.

The operation of these apps is straightforward. You can find pre-made selections, divided by category or popularity, or type a keyword (for example, interiors). Then, the tool will propose the 30 # related (the most popular) to that keyword just entered. This function is beneficial because it allows us to be even more precise in defining the architecture # while not wasting time.

What are the best apps to find the right hashtags?

There are many. They are all continuously updated apps and more or less all perform the same functions. In any case, the ones I recommend are the following:

In particular, I use the first of this list, Tagè, of which you can also find a screenshot below.

I like it because it is easy to use, fast and practical app. Apart from some keywords that are too little used, Tagè almost always manages to return excellent groups of # deriving from a single word. The only defect is that is charged in its full version (the free version is not very usable).

Remember, the maximum number of #s allowed in a post is 30. Therefore, remove as many from these groups if you have already included some in your post description.

There are no perfect #s, and your choices are betting, like for everyone else’s. If a post is not attractive, it will not be the choice of a group of Architecture hashtags rather than another that will change the course of events.

So do the best you can, and remember that there are many other techniques to increase engagement and followers of your Instagram account, all explained in a big way in the dedicated Instagram for Architects guide!
