South Hill House is a renovation and extension project of an older brick home located in Toronto, Canada. The project respects the existing structure while adding contemporary details, larger open spaces, and modernist massing. The new addition uses a brick chosen to match that of the existing house, and expansive panoramic openings were used to bring in natural light and expand the perspective across the neighborhood.
A minimalist palette of wood floors and white walls helps maintain the play of light throughout the project. The project was completed in 2022 and the architect was StudioAC.
