I went in Marrakech, Morocco’s capital, last spring – and I had the possibility to view and taste the narrow streets, the central square Jamaa el Fna, the smells and sounds, the street vendors, the symbols and the Arab tradition of another culture.
When I traveled for the first time in Marrakech, I didn’t know exactly what to expect. The few things that I imagined I had read in books, seen in the movies and heard from those who had already been there.
The idea I had in mind was that of something distinctly different from cities in Europe of course, and while I was walking I had confirmation not only of this, but I realized that the reality was even more different.
