The “mónos” series by Vincenzo Pagliuca – an Italian photographer based in Brescia – illustrates a selection of isolated houses in the territory of the southern Italian Apennines.
Thanks to his shots, these places become extraordinary and regain a charm and interest that they had probably lost over time. The houses of “mónos” look like monoliths that are grafted into rural and natural landscapes, as if to become rustic monuments of a past life and history.
