If the house is to be a refuge, why not make it so in detail? In S Design Farm‘s Murakoshi House – built in Ota City in Japan – the architects have created a safe place where owners can retreat from the city.
An introverted cube whose only openings are towards the sky and towards the light. A two-story space of over 120 square meters in which nothing is missing. A new conception of the house as a reflective place.
This house seems to say that life is inside; there is no need to be constantly and perpetually “glued” to everyday reality, especially if this reality and this context have nothing to offer besides trivial distractions.
