Ring of Bjólfur in Iceland, Esja Architecture

In the heart of Eastern Iceland, on the edge of the mountains overlooking Seyðisfjörður, stands the Ring of Bjólfur, a circular platform designed by Esja Architecture. This concrete structure offers a panoramic view of Seydisfjordur and the Atlantic Ocean. With a diameter of 32 meters, an accessible walkway, and a silver-toned color palette that contrasts with the surrounding landscape, the Ring of Bjólfur draws inspiration from Viking tradition and rests on two points of the terrain.

Construction is set to begin in the fall, and the project is the result of interdisciplinary collaboration between architects, landscape designers, and structural engineers.
